As you may know, each year Corvias hosts free community events. We are excited to announce that the first 2014 event, Spring into Fun, will be held on Friday, March 21, 3-6 p.m., at the Casablanca/Anzio Acres Community Center. The event will also be held on Friday, April 11, 3-6 p.m. at The Clubhouse at Linden Oaks. Come for free food, music, games, large inflatable slides, potato sack races, raffle prizes, and so much more!
Don’t forget to participate in the post-wide yard sale on Saturday, March 15, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. All on-post residents are encouraged to hold a yard sale in their own yard during this time. In the event of inclement weather, the post-wide yard sale will be held on Saturday, April 5, 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
To improve your quality of life and overall housing experience, Corvias Military Living provides commercial lawn mowing services at no additional charge. These seasonal services are provided by The Brickman Group, an established leader in the commercial lawn mowing industry. Your home will receive one mow during the month of March. During warmer months, bi-weekly or weekly mowing will occur.
Check your community’s calendar for your mowing schedule, as some community lawn care schedules have changed. Inclement weather may require adjustments to your regular lawn mowing schedule. If you have questions about your lawn mowing services, please contact your Community Office.
Lawn mowing process:
First, the mowers mow your lawn. Second, a separate crew trims around fixed objects such as fences and drains. (This service will occur every other mow.) Third, another team comes through to blow the grass clippings off of your patio, sidewalk and driveway.
How to prepare your yard for mowing:
• Remove toys, decorative items, trash, patio furniture, grills, pet waste, and trampolines from all grassy areas on your lawn mowing day. Unprepared lawns will not be mowed.
• Park cars on paved areas to allow crews access to grassy areas.
• Store pets indoors on your lawn mowing day.
• Ensure that your backyard fence is unlocked to allow crews to access your yard. (Ste Mere Eglise residents should prop open patio privacy fences.) After lawn mowing has been completed, verify that your fence is closed before allowing your pet to re-enter your yard.
An event filled with friendship, laughter, prizes, advice and self-discovery is coming April 3-4 to Fort Bragg. Corvias Military Living is proud to partner with Army Wife Network, a multi-media resource site for Army spouses, to bring the Field ExerciseTM: Battle Buddies to Fort Bragg’s military spouses.
The Field ExerciseTM: Battle Buddies is a networking and military appreciation event for spouses. Army Wife Network’s Tara Crooks, Janet MacIntosh and Paula Swanson will host two, free sessions from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 3 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 4. Both sessions of the Field ExerciseTM are free and focus on creating a personal support network to help navigate Army life.
“Our Field ExerciseTM will have a room full of talking and laughing spouses engaged with each other and recharging their spirits by putting themselves first,” said Crooks, co-founder of Army Wife Network and 2013 Armed Forces Insurance Army Spouse of the Year. “Fort Bragg is said to be the 9-1-1 of the Army and we are bringing this Field ExerciseTM to be the 9-1-1 for Fort Bragg’s spouses.”
The two four-hour sessions are identical and will feature a full lunch or dinner, door prizes and giveaways. A limited number of free childcare spots will be available through CYSS as part of Corvias’s sponsorship of this event. To register for this childcare, please call Corvias at (910) 764-4500 and ask for Lorena Cox.
Registration for these events will open March 17 at www.armywifenetwork.com under the events section. Space is limited and a ticket will be required for event entry. Remember, only register for one of the two sessions and watch for more details and information from Corvias and Army Wife Network as the registration date approaches.
Have a green thumb? A new community garden exclusively for on-post residents will open later this year on Fort Bragg!
The Fort Bragg Victory Garden plot lottery is now open to Corvias Military Living residents. The garden will provide on-post residents a way to plant and grow nutritious produce in a social atmosphere.
If you would like to use one of the 20 Victory Garden plots, please visit our community garden website or visit your Community Office to obtain the necessary paperwork. Please submit your completed and signed documents to your Community Office by Friday, March 21 at 6 p.m.
You will then be entered into a lottery to receive one of the 20 community garden plots. Plot recipients will be contacted as soon as possible.
During the month of March, Fort Bragg residents may notice a stronger chlorine smell and discoloration to their water. These are the results of changes to the disinfection of our water and the annual flushing of the water lines by Old North Utility Services (ONUS) and Harnett County. These measures help to control bacteria growth and alleviate any potential bacteriological problems in the system.
This process will require individuals on kidney dialysis machines to implement certain changes to their procedures and to consult with their doctor. Additionally, owners of tropical fish or other aquatic life will need to take certain precautions to ensure the health of their fish.
During this time, you may experience periods of discolored water. You can help alleviate this discoloration through turning on your faucets and running the water until it starts to clear up. If your water does not clear up within a reasonable time, please contact ONUS by submitting a service order request through the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) at (910) 396-0321. Linden Oaks residents can contact Public Utilities Water Treatment Plant Supervisor Allan O’Briant at (910) 893-7575, extension 3238.

As you know, Fort Bragg has implemented the Automated Installation Entry (AIE). Visitors who are not driving with a DoD ID card holder, such as a friend or a delivery truck, must obtain a visitor pass to travel onto Fort Bragg. Visitor passes can be obtained at the All American Visitor Control Center, located at the All American Gate. The center is open 24/7. Visitor passes are valid for 90 days from the date of issue.
Within the next 3 months, Linden Oaks visitors who are not driving with a DoD ID card holder must obtain a visitor pass to travel into the community. This visitor pass will only be valid for entry into the Linden Oaks community, not the rest of Fort Bragg. However, if a visitor already has a visitor pass for Fort Bragg, that pass can be used to access Linden Oaks. All Linden Oaks visitors can obtain their passes from the guards at the Linden Oaks community’s entrance.
Linden Oaks residents’ entry will not be affected by this new procedure. Linden Oaks residents will continue to present their DoD ID cards to the gate’s guards. For more information, please call (910) 432-1199 or (910) 432-1200.
Would you like to win an iPad mini? Here’s your chance! All you need to do is tell Corvias Military Living how we’re doing because we know the only way we will continue to improve is by hearing from our residents. That’s why we contract an independent property management research firm, SatisFacts, to send an annual resident satisfaction survey.
You should have received the instructions by now. So, be sure to double check your mail for a postcard and your e-mail for the survey notice from “residentsurveys.com”. The deadline for completion is mid-March and participation is voluntary, but encouraged. Everyone who participates will be entered into a gift drawing to win an iPad mini.
If you did not receive the e-mail from SatisFacts or would like the e-mail resent to you, please contact SatisFacts at firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also contact your Community Office for more information.
Who doesn’t like to be recognized for doing the right thing? Corvias Military Living recently began a program to do just that! The Resident Spotlight program is a fun way for us to give residents kudos for taking care of and contributing to their community.
Our team is on the lookout for residents who take pride in their home and community. There are many ways to be an exemplary resident, such as consistently demonstrating care and cleanliness of your home, picking up after your pet regularly, taking time to beautify your yard, and regularly returning your trash can to your home, just to name a few.
Thank you cards are awarded in four categories: care of home, yard, pets and community. If you are spotted being an outstanding citizen of Fort Bragg, you will be entered into a drawing to potentially win a $25 gift card. There will be one winner from each community.
Randolph Pointe is Fort Bragg’s only on-post apartment community for single and unaccompanied Senior NCOs and Officers. It is located near the North Post Commissary and PX on the corner of Randolph and Souter Streets at 2850 Compass Court. For more information or to schedule a tour for your single or unaccompanied service members, visit randolphpointe.com or call (910) 764-5008.
Corvias Military Living is always looking for ways to improve. One way we learn how we are doing is through your candid input. To make it easier for you to provide us feedback, we are launching a new resident survey opportunity to monitor service provided at move-in and after service requests have been completed.
Residents will soon receive a brief, online survey from email@example.com seven days after a move-in, and seven days after a service request is complete. Don’t worry - we won’t spam you! To avoid over-surveying, no more than one survey per family will be sent in one week. While participation is voluntary, your feedback is appreciated.
With your year-round feedback, we can be more proactive in addressing your concerns. Our goal is to provide the best homes, community, service, and value to you. With your advice, Corvias Military Living can work to improve your experience.
- Please remember to adhere to all posted speed limits, to obey all traffic signs, and to yield to all pedestrians and bicyclists. This is especially important during school pick-up and drop-off times. Thank you for your cooperation!
- Help us keep Fort Bragg beautiful, and clean up after your pet. Your community will greatly appreciate your taking the time to do so.
- If you see a stray animal, please call Fort Bragg’s Military Police at (910) 396-0391. Cumberland County will then respond to the inquiry.
How can you clean vegetables and save water? It’s easy! Instead of letting the faucet run while you clean your vegetables, just rinse them in a plugged sink or in a pan of clean water.
