As the weather changes from one season to another, we in the Sandhills of North Carolina will start to see the pests that are common to our area. Dodson Pest Control provides exterior barrier treatments 3 times a year. This creates a chemical barrier 10 feet around the home to deter crawling insects like ants and spiders. Barrier treatments are scheduled by community: - Ardennes/Bataan- April, August, December

Dodson Pest Control provides treatments for ants, roaches, fleas, bedbugs, spiders, rats, silverfish or centipedes. If Dodson’s services are needed, Dodson will set up the appointment directly with the resident. Additional charges may apply for some pest treatments. ARMED SERVICES YMCA FORT BRAGG FOOD PANTRY |

Great news for all military families located at Fort Bragg - the Armed Services YMCA Fort Bragg has a food pantry open to any active duty military, military families, or veterans in need. The pantry is open Monday - Friday from 9:00 - 4:00 pm and no referral is needed to utilize the service. The service is 100% confidential and is not usage is not shared with anyone. How you can help support the Food Pantry: - ASYMCA takes non-perishable donations that are unopened and unexpired any time they are open (Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm). The items most needed are: proteins (tuna, chicken, nut butters), pastas and rice, jelly, canned fruits (in juice preferred), and canned vegetables.
- ASYMCA welcomes your group, unit, business, or organization to conduct a food drive anytime! ASYMCA have signage and can provide support in picking up donated items.
- You can ship non-perishable items directly to the ASYMCA office! Armed Services YMCA’s address is 2-2411 Rodney Trail, Fort Bragg NC 28307.
- ASYMCA accepts donations of money in order to supplement donations they receive. 100% of funds donated specifically for the food pantry will be used to purchase non-perishable items for military and veteran families.

Military life is stressful enough but adding on the challenges of parenting, deployments, separation from loved ones, retirement, and relationships can make it overwhelming at times. The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Cape Fear Valley is a private non-profit organization located in Fayetteville, NC. The Cohen Clinic provides low to no-cost clinical outpatient behavioral health services for Post 9-11 Veterans, their Families and Families of Active Duty Service Members, Reservists and National Guards. Individual therapy is not available for Active Duty Service Members due to mission readiness concerns, but they can participate in couple’s and family therapy. A variety of issues are treated with Evidence Based Practices, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, insomnia/sleep issues, adjustment issues and more; the length of treatment is typically between 10-15 sessions. Individuals can self-refer, treatment is confidential, and currently free of charge. The Cohen Clinic is able to provide services to extended family members of Service Members and Post-9/11 Veterans, to include in-laws, partners, ex-spouses, and more. The clinic offers individual, couple’s and family therapy and able to see children as young as age 4 (individual therapy is not available for Active Duty Service Members due to mission readiness concerns, but they can participate in couple’s and family therapy). Individuals have the option to attend therapy sessions at the clinic or use telehealth services for face-to-face therapy via video conferencing. They also offer extended hours and transportation assistance in addition to case management services to identify resources for employment, housing, finance, legal and more. The clinic is part the Cohen Veteran Network, a nation-wide network that currently operates a total of 17 clinics across the country. Our local partner organization is Cape Fear Valley Health System.
